​AIEA Conference: Delegations from Outside the United States

The AIEA Annual Conference is the premier meeting for leaders in international higher education from around the world. 

​
​AIEA welcomes delegations from specific countries or regions outside of the U.S. to participate in the Annual Conference. Delegations are often organized by: 
  • Government entities such as Ministries of Education or Trade Commissions who understand the value and power of facilitating strategic international partnerships with higher education institutions 
  • National international education organizations or associations 
Eligibility requirements
  • ​Delegation members should be international education leaders -Senior International Officers or their equivalents, leaders of international education associations, or government officials who facilitate international education as a part of their position 
  • Each delegation must have two or more paid conference registrants; registrants must represent multiple institutions 
  • Each registrant must register with their own email (even if they are registered by a delegation organizer)

​IMPORTANT NOTES FOR DELEGATION ORGANIZERS: 
​Delegation organizers MUST provide each delegate's individual email for AIEA to communicate registration and conference details. Additionally, delegation organizers MUST be transparent regarding refund process and timelines with their delegation members.

​We look forward to welcoming  international delegations to the 2026 AIEA Annual Conference.

* Invitation Letters: All individuals apart of your delegation (minimum of 2) must register and submit payment in order to receive invitation letters. ​
​Invitation letters
AIEA will provide letters of invitation upon request to registrants only in the following circumstances:  

• Registration is paid in full. Non-member registrants requesting an invitation letter or new members must pay via wire transfer. All individuals part of your delegation must register in order to receive invitation letters. 
• Registrants must use an email address affiliated with an institute of higher education or a recognized organization related to international higher education.  
• AIEA will not send a letter of invitation to registrants after January 21, 2026. 


DELEGATION BENEFITS

AIEA is pleased to extend a registration discount for delegations of two or more conference registrants from nations outside the United States. Approved delegations with multiple institutions organized will benefit from the following: 
  • Delegation members will be eligible for delegation conference rates, which provide a significant discount for attendees
  • Delegation Members will receive a complimentary first year membership for the membership year following the conference
  • ​Delegations will be officially recognized during the conference and featured before, during, and after the conference through AIEA's social media platforms, website, and newsletters 
  • Delegations will have the opportunity to participate in a special delegation session for finding partners
  • Each delegation will be assigned a dedicated point person from the AIEA Board or Conference Planning Committee. This individual will serve as a guide and provide access to their personal networks throughout the conference.
  • Delegations will have a group photo taken by the conference photographer, which will be featured in the conference highlights, website, social media, and shared with the delegation.
  • Delegation members will receive a comprehensive email with essential information before the conference. The email will also feature a curated list of sessions, plenaries, and more that may be of interest to delegates.

Conference Registrant LinkedIn Group
Interact with fellow participants prior to and during the conference in the private LinkedIn group. More information coming soon...
Virtual Networking Meet-Up Events: (For Registered Participants; included in conference registration)
Registered participants are invited to join up to four virtual sessions to network with other attendees prior to the conference. Participants have the opportunities to make connections, set meetings and more in an informal setting.
Networking Meetups are scheduled on: 
  • January 6, 2026 at 9:30am ET
  • January 26, 2026 at 12pm ET
  • February 11, 2026 at 3pm ET 
  • March 3, 2026 at 1pm ET
Virtual Newcomer Orientation
The Newcomer Orientation offers participants an opportunity to learn more about the conference, understand what to expect, and connect with colleagues before the event. The virtual orientation will take place on:​
  • February 9, 2026 at 1pm ET
