Professor ’Funmi Olonisakin is Vice-President International, Engagement and Service (IES) at King’s College London. She is also Professor of Security, Leadership and Development at the African Leadership Centre in the School of Global Affairs at King’s. In her role as Vice-President IES, Professor Olonisakin seeks to facilitate the deployment of King’s assets (including knowledge, scholarship and talent in service of society) locally, nationally and internationally, to enable transformative and lasting impact. She is committed to building inter-disciplinary and intersectoral collaboration, and sustaining equitable partnerships to realise positive and lasting impact within and beyond King’s. Producing knowledge that influences change beyond the academy has been at the heart of Professor Olonisakin’s research work and life as an academic. Olonisakin has positioned her work to serve as a bridge between academia and the worlds of policy and practice. |

Paul Tiyambe Zeleza is Associate Provost and North Star Distinguished Professor at Case Western Reserve University. His past appointment was at the United States International University-Africa in Kenya as Vice Chancellor (President). Prior to that he held distinguished academic and administrative positions at several universities in Canada and the United States. He has published more than 400 journal articles, book chapters, encyclopedia entries, reviews, short stories, and online essays and 27 books, most recently Africa and the Disruptions of the 21st Century (2021). He is currently completing a book on Revisioning the African and American Academies. Zeleza has received numerous awards from major universities and various organizations for his scholarship, including in 2022 the W.E.B. Dubois Fellowship at Harvard University. |

Kara A. Godwin is Director of Internationalization at the American Council on Education where she leads ACE’s global engagement initiatives and the Internationalization Laboratory. Her work focuses on comprehensive internationalization, social and global equity, and strategic institutional transformation. Prior to ACE, she was Research Fellow and adjunct faculty at the Boston College Center for International Higher Education, and a consultant for governments, NGOs, and universities. Godwin holds a BA from Augustana College, an MS from Northwestern University, and a PhD in international comparative education from Boston College. |

Philip G. Altbach is Research Professor and Distinguished Fellow at the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College, where from 1994 to 2015 he was the Monan University Professor. He was the 2004-2006 Distinguished Scholar Leader for the New Century Scholars initiative of the Fulbright program. Altbach has taught at Harvard University, the University of Wisconsin, and the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is author of Global Perspectives on Higher Education, Student Politics in America, among other books. He also co-edited (with Jamil Salmi) The Road to Academic Excellence, (with Michael Bastedo and Patricia Gumport) American Higher Education in the 21st Century, the International Handbook of Higher Education, and other books. |

Mirka Martel is Head of Research, Evaluation & Learning at the Institute of International Education. She manages research and evaluation projects specializing in international education, leadership, and development. Dr. Martel’s oversight of key resources, including the historic Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange and the Project Atlas research initiative on global student mobility, advances the field and provides strategic insight into the future of academic mobility flows in the United States and worldwide. Martel recent publications include, Prospects for International Students amid Rebounding Global Mobility (2022) and Senior International Officers on U.S. Higher Education Campuses (2023), co-authored with IIE’s CEO Allan Goodman. She holds a Master's in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Doctorate in International and Comparative Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. |

Maria Claudia Soler is a Senior Research Analyst at the American Council on Education where she leads the Mapping Internationalization on U.S. Campuses Survey and contributes to ACE’s research agenda. Maria Claudia’s experience centers on domestic and international access and success in higher education. Her work focuses on student success, community colleges, organizational change, and higher education policy for underserved students. Soler holds a Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Illinois, a M.A. in international education policy analysis from Stanford University, and a M.A. in clinical psychology and a BA in psychology, both from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. |
