AIEA member Josef Mestenhauser has published a book about his roots in the former Czechoslovakia: Shifting Landscape in Central Europe. The book is a collection of 52 brief essays that he wrote for local Czech and Slovak publications that incorporate perspectives and concepts from international and cross-cultural relations. The book is available at the Czech and Slovak Cultural Center of Minnesota.  

AIEA member Dr. Rahul Choudaha received the Tony Adams Award for Excellence in Research at the 2013 EIAE Conference. Dr. Choudaha received this award for his research in the field of international recruitment and marketing. 

Past Presidents John Hudzik and Donna Scarboro, Executive Director Darla Deardorff, and AIEA members Dorothea Antonio, Rajika Bhandari, Gabriele Bosley, Megan Brenn-White, Rahul Choudaha, Stephen Connelly,  Caspar de Bok, Hans de Wit, Duleep Deosthale, Sara Dumont, Winnie Eley, Meng Hwaw Er, Samil Erdogan, Joel Gallegos, Daniel Guhr, Kees Kouwenaar, Betty Leask,  Mitch Leventhal, Robert Lowndes, Carmel Murphy,  Gary Rhodes, Laura Rumbley, Mary Catherine Scarborough, Jacyl Shaw, Lee Sternberger, Linda Tobash, and Hans-Georg van Liempd presented sessions or workshops at the 2013 EAIE Conference in Istanbul.

AIEA Past Presidents Susan Buck Sutton and William Brustein, AIEA Executive Director Darla Deardorff and AIEA members Rajika Bhandari, and Leeanne Dunsmore are all authors in the Fall 2013 Issue of IIENetworker: The Next Big Thing in International Education.

AIEA Past Presidents William Brustein and John Hudzik and member John Yopp were quoted in a July 29 article in The Chronicle of Higher Education entitled "Is Europe Passé? As U.S. higher education shifts to a 'Pacific Century,' Europe feels the sting."
