AIEA 2022 Annual Conference Event

$75 per person

Enjoy a stroll through the beautiful and enchanting French Quarter on this memorable culinary experience! Taste some the city's most notable dishes while learning the fascinating history behind each. Dine (seated) at two restaurants during this "bucket list" New Orleans meal: jambalaya, red beans & rice, gumbo, alligator bites, and crawfish mac & cheese are all typical of this menu. Finish with a visit to a local praline shop for samples of handmade sweets and a full-size praline (to eat immediately or save for later).

There will be 4 stops at some of New Orleans most authentic family restaurants. In between stops, your professional and personable guide will regale fascinating stories of the French Quarter, touching on architecture, history, and some of the colorful characters who have shaped the city. This is a casual tour and comfortable walking shoes are a must!

AIEA has made arrangements with a local New Orleans Tour Group for this 2-hour walking tour of some of New Orleans local landmarks and family restaurants.  If you are interested in participating, make your reservations by January 31, 2022, simply call 504 617 4391, reference AIEA Food Tour.  A dedicated host will be available Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to assist you in making your reservations.  Cost is $75 including gratuity. Water will be provided with adult beverages available for purchase.  

This 2-hr walking tour would $75 per person, all-inclusive (including guide gratuity).  Includes 4 stops at some of New Orleans most authentic restaurants. Ice water is served at both restaurant stops.  Adult-beverages will be available for purchase along the way.

 (Yep! Everything in New Orleans has a great story...even the cocktails!)

 Summary of Things to Know:

  • Cost--$75 per person including gratuity
  • Make your reservations by January 31, 2022 (Reservations can be made Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
  • Cancellation is 72 hours prior the date of tour—Saturday, February 19 to receive 100% refund. Cancellation in less than 72-hours refund is 50%
  • Group size is 12 ppl max per guide; individuals should meet their guide(s) at the AIEA Registration Desk at 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, February 22
  • Credit cards are charged at the time of booking the reservation
