AIEA Conference: Delegations from Outside the United States
The AIEA Annual Conference is the premier meeting for leaders in international higher education from around the world.
AIEA welcomes delegations from specific countries or regions outside of the U.S. to participate in the Annual Conference. Delegations are often organized by:
- Government entities such as Ministries of Education or Trade Commissions who understand the value and power of facilitating strategic international partnerships with higher education institutions
- National international education organizations or associations
AIEA is pleased to extend a registration discount for delegations of five or more conference registrants from nations outside the United States. Approved delegations with multiple institutions organized will benefit from the following:
- Delegations will be officially recognized during the conference
- Delegations will have the opportunity to participate in a special delegation session for finding partners
- Delegation members will be eligible for member conference rates, which provide a significant discount for attendees
Delegations must apply to receive these benefits. Eligibility requirements include:
- Delegation members should be international education leaders -- Senior International Officers or their equivalents, leaders of international education associations, or government officials who facilitate international education as a part of their position
- Each delegation must have five or more paid conference registrants; registrants must represent multiple institutions

If approved, AIEA will provide instructions on how to register for the conference.
* Invitation Letters: All individuals apart of your delegation (minimum of 5) must register in order to receive invitation letters.
Important Note: COVID Vaccination Requirement: To best protect AIEA participants from Covid-19, all conference participants must be vaccinated to attend in-person. AIEA will accept proof of vaccination for Covid-19 from any of the seven vaccines approved by the WHO: Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Oxford/AstraZeneca, Serum Institute of India, Sinopharm, or Sinovac. If you are vaccinated, you will be asked to upload proof of your vaccination as a .pdf or image file on the first page of the registration form.
*You must upload proof of vaccination before you will be able to complete registration.
Letters of Invitation
AIEA will provide letters of invitation upon request to registrants only in the following circumstances: • Registration is paid in full. Non-member registrants requesting an invitation letter or new members must pay via wire transfer. • Registrants must use an email address affiliated with an institute of higher education or a recognized organization related to international higher education. • Registrants that are not Senior International Officers or International Relations Officers, may be asked to provide a brief statement regarding how the strategic issues in international higher education discussed at the AIEA conference is relevant to their work. • AIEA will not send a letter of invitation to registrants after January 21, 2023.
