Samba Dieng

Samba Dieng is the Senior International Officer (SIO) and Executive Director of International Programs at Louisiana State University, where he leads global engagement initiatives. Prior to LSU, Dieng served as Director of International Students and Scholars at several institutions. He is active in organizations such as NAFSA, AIEA, and APLU. Dieng earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Nebraska and is currently pursuing a doctorate in higher education leadership at the University of Texas at Austin.

Jennifer Gruber

Jennifer Gruber is the Associate Vice President for International Education and Global Engagement at California State University, Chico. As SIO, she provides leadership for the university’s international programs and global partnerships, including International Admissions & Outreach, International Student & Scholar Services, Study Abroad & Exchange, ESL Support Services, and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL). Gruber is an active member of AIEA, NAFSA, and the CSU SIO group. Gruber earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from California State University, Fresno.

Laila L. Hlass is the Associate Provost for International Affairs at Tulane University. She is a faculty member within the School of Law, where she also co-directs the Immigrant Rights Clinic. Hlass regularly speaks and appears in the news regarding migration, refugees, and immigrant children. Previously, she was a faculty member at Boston University School of Law. Hlass earned her JD from Columbia Law School, and LLM with distinction from Georgetown University Law Center.

 

 

 Philipp Reichert

Philipp Reichert is the Director, Global Engagement at UBC’s Okanagan campus, and Senior Advisor, Learning and Development for the Canadian Bureau of International Education (CBIE). Prior to joining UBCO, he was at the Rotterdam School of Management, and the Hague Centre for Strategic Studies. Reichert holds a Master’s degree with honours in International Relations from Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands, a doctorate from the University of Calgary and holds an RCIC designation in Canadian immigration law.
