When will the conference take place? Where is it located? The 2014 AIEA Annual Conference will take place February 16-19 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC. Please click here for more information.
How can I register? What are the registration rates? AIEA members should have received a members-only registration link that was sent out to the member listserv. If you are a current AIEA member and did not receive the email with the registration link, please email [email protected].

Am I eligible for the member rate?
If you register for the conference before December 14, 2013:
- 2013 members will receive the early bird member rate
- Non-members will receive the early bird non-member rate or can purchase a 2013 membership
If you register for the conference between December 14 and December 31, 2013:
- 2013 members will receive the regular member rate
- 2014 members will receive the regular member rate
- Non-members will receive the regular non-member rate or can purchase a 2014 membership after December 16
If you register for the conference between January 1 and January 24, 2014:
- 2013 members who have not renewed for 2014 will receive the regular non-member rate
- 2014 members will receive the regular member rate
- Non-members will receive the regular non-member rate or can purchase a 2014 membership
If you register for the conference after January 24, 2014:
- 2013 members who have not renewed for 2014 will receive the non-member late registration rate
- 2014 members will receive the member late registration rate
- Non-members receive the non-member late registration rate or can purchase a 2014 membership
Please note that 2014 membership will be available for new members and for renewals on December 16, 2013. Institutional membership must be renewed first in order for Individual membership to be renewed.

How do I add a workshop to my registration? You can register for workshops on the registration form.
How can I register for the 2014 ACE-AIEA Internationalization Collaborative Meeting to be held on Saturday, February 15? Registration for the 2014 ACE-AIEA Internationalization Collaborative Meeting, "Leading Internationalization in Financially Challenging Times: Strategy, Collaboration, and Innovation" is only available at the ACE website.

I only want to attend one day of the conference, is that possible? Yes, one-day conference registration is available. Please note that your registration is valid only for sessions and events on that day and badges will be actively checked throughout the conference to ensure that participants have registered properly.
Is the conference schedule available? To access the general conference schedule, please click here. Details will be posted on our website as they are confirmed. A full conference schedule, including conference sessions, will be available on our website in late January.
When will the exhibit hall be open? Please check back later for details.
How can I reserve exhibitor space in the exhibit hall? Please click here for information. Exhibitor space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
How can my organization become a conference sponsor? Please click here for information.
Can I advertise in the conference program? Yes. Copy and payment must be received by December 15, 2013. Please contact [email protected]to make arrangements.
How can I receive a list of participants in advance of the conference? The participant list is posted twice: once after the early bird registration deadline on December 16, 2013, then after the regular registration deadline on January 28, 2014. A full participant list including contact information will be distributed at the conference.
What services are available for special needs and requests? AIEA and Duke University encourage persons with disabilities to participate in their programs and activities. Please contact [email protected]no later than January 20, 2014 to request ASL interpreter services or other accommodations for special needs. If you have dietary preferences, please be sure to mark those on the space provided on the registration form when you register.
Will I receive a certificate of attendance? A certificate of attendance is available upon request by emailing [email protected] following the conference.
What is the cancellation policy for the conference? Registration fees are refundable, less a $75 processing fee, up until January 13. No refund will be issued for cancellations starting January 14, 2014.
Registrations are transferable within membership category until January 13 with a $50 administrative transfer fee. Starting January 14, transfers will not be accepted.
All cancellations must be sent in writing via e-mail or fax to the conference registrar. AIEA is not responsible for problems beyond our control such as weather conditions, campus conditions, travel difficulties, health issues, etc. No refunds will be given in these situations if occurring after Jan 13.
I am an overseas participant and need a letter of invitation before I can receive my visa. What is the procedure? Upon payment of registration, the participant may request an invitation letter by emailing [email protected] AIEA will not supply an invitation letter to unpaid or unregistered participants. Please note that AIEA does not give any further support to the visa application process. Obtaining a visa remains the sole responsibility of the participant. Regular cancellation deadlines apply, regardless of whether your visa was granted or not.
