Congratulations to AIEA Executive Director Darla K. Deardorff on the publicaiton of her most recent book, Demystifying Outcomes Assessment for International Educators: A Practical Approach  (Stylus, 2015). 

AIEA Treasurer Gil Merkx featured on Duke Global for receiving both the Klasek and Rutenber awards at the 2015 AIEA Annual Conference. 

Congratulations to the following AIEA Member Institutions on receiving the 2015 NAFSA Paul Simon Award for Campus Internationalization: the University of Delaware, the University of San Diego, and the University of Virginia. Congratulations also to AIEA Member Institutions Rice University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Wake Forest University for receiving the 2015 Spotlight Award.

Deardorff is an invited speaker at an invitation-only workshop at the event. 

AIEA Immediate Past President Harvey Charles spoke at the AIEA Thematic Forum, Xavier University, New Orleans, LA.

AIEA Executive Director Darla K. Deardorff gave the keynote address at the 2015 NASPA International Forum in New Orleans, LA.

AIEA Executive Director Darla K. Deardorff gave a  keynote address at the Learning at Intercultural Intersections Conference at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia. The keynote addressed was mentioned in the article "Innovative International Research Conference in Kamloops" at the Kamloops BC Now website

Congratulations to the following AIEA Member Institutions that received 2015 Andrew Heiskell Awards from the Institute of International Education: Texas Christian University (Internationalizing the Campus); The State University of New York at New Paltz (Study Abroad); and Auburn University (International Partnerships). Congratulations to member institutions receiving honorable mentions: Purdue University, The Ohio State University,  and the University of Minnesota.

AIEA member Eric A. Canny  co-presented the NAFSA webinar "Education Abroad Advising and Orientation for the Changing Student,"  focusing on how we can better prepare today's student for a meaningful education abroad experience, utilizing learning theories as an underpinning to the standard Pre-Departure process. 

AIEA member Eric A. Canny authored the Fourth Edition of NAFSA’s Guide to Education Abroad (GEA) chapter on Orientation and Preparation, bringing educational, social media, and online learning theories to the practice of Pre-Departure.

AIEA members Betsy Brewer,  Janis Perkins, Sara Dumont, and Mary Anne Grant featured in Inside Higher Education article "Not-So-Great Expectations," which highlighted sessions from the AIEA Annual Conference.   

AIEA institutional member St. Louis University featured on the SLU website in recognition of receiving AIEA's first Innovation Award at the 2015 AIEA Annual Conference. 

AIEA President Jenifer Cushman was featured in the Ohio University Compass in recognition of her new position at AIEA. 

AIEA Thematic Forum Internationalizing the University: Globalizing Research and Innovation via US-EU Transatlantic Cooperation featured in University World News article "Cross-border partners ‘key to science breakthroughs."

AIEA Member Laura Rumbley authored the final Editorial for the February 2015 issue of the Journal of Studies in International Education.

AIEA Executive Director Darla Deardorff was invited to give a workshop at the AAC&U Global Learning Conference (.pdf) in Minneapolis, MN. 

AIEA Executive Director Darla Deardorff was invited to give a keynote address at the AMPEI Conference in Chiapas, Mexico. 

Several AIEA members, including board member Hilary Kahn, members Charles Calahan, Chris Cartwright, and others presented at the IUPUI Assessment Institute in Indianapolis, IN, where Executive Director Darla Deardorff was a keynote speaker. 

AIEA Past President Susan Sutton featured on Bryn Mawr's website in recognition of her new position as Senior Advisor for International Initiatives.
