AIEA Executive Director Darla Deardorff authored a book that has just been published by University of Michigan Press entitled Beneath the Tip of the Iceberg: Improving English and Understanding of US Cultural Patterns, an English-as-a-Second Language textbook available through amazon.com.

AIEA member Jennie Lang spoke at the November 28 book launch of Making a Difference: Australian International Education edited by Dorothy Davis and Bruce Mackintosh (University of New South Wales, 2011) at Australia's Parliament House in Canberra. AIEA Executive Director Darla Deardorff was invited to attend. Contributors to the book include AIEA members Dennis Murray and Betty Leask. Tony Adams was also a contributor.
